Saturated in a supple black and contrasted with our “suede-ed” olive leather (leather that we’ve burnished to give a suede-like texture), Gypsy effortlessly radiates opulence in a low-key kind of way.  Practicality meets style with a top zip, removeable shoulder strap + large utility pockets- one flaunting a top zip and the other adorned with a "faux" buckle closure. About Our Founders

Founder and CEO Paul Schreiber started Latico Leathers fresh out of college in 1984. He began selling leather goods out of his trunk in NYC, and soon enough, specialty boutiques in Greenwich Village couldn't keep his merchandise in stock. Bands like the Grateful Dead eventually became fans of his genuine leather bags, and Latico grew into its identity as a leather goods company with a rock and roll twist.

Paul met his wife Lainie — an uptown girl with a New York fashion background — and the two launched a celebrated women’s line. The unique artisan linings, unexpected leather treatments, and extensive interior organization created during that time would come to define Latico’s signature style.

Today, our customers refer to us as their “one-stop shop” for quality leather goods. In fact, over 80% of our business comes from repeat customers. We can’t thank you enough for your ongoing support!

    Great everyday bag!

    I really like the size and style of this bag plus the pockets and the interior divider. I think I would give it five stars if it came in a different color. However, many people have complemented this bag and the color so that is just a matter of taste. This is my third Latico bag

    Funky Hippie Gypsy

    I love this bag. It reminds me of the Sixties, when I had freedom as a teen to bus into NYC by myself or with my best friend, and we bopped around Greenwich Village or sampled the museums. The olive suede is soft and adds a funky counterpart to the black leather that reflects a harder edge. This bag can easily do double duty -- hip for a casual look but understated for work too.
