About Our Founders

Founder and CEO Paul Schreiber started Latico Leathers fresh out of college in 1984. He began selling leather goods out of his trunk in NYC, and soon enough, specialty boutiques in Greenwich Village couldn't keep his merchandise in stock. Bands like the Grateful Dead eventually became fans of his genuine leather bags, and Latico grew into its identity as a leather goods company with a rock and roll twist.

Paul met his wife Lainie — an uptown girl with a New York fashion background — and the two launched a celebrated women’s line. The unique artisan linings, unexpected leather treatments, and extensive interior organization created during that time would come to define Latico’s signature style.

Today, our customers refer to us as their “one-stop shop” for quality leather goods. In fact, over 80% of our business comes from repeat customers. We can’t thank you enough for your ongoing support!

    Fab bag!

    As a woman who's always running around with 3 kids, this bag has been great. I love the magnetic closure, making sure all my items don't fall out (An issue I've had with so many other crossbodies). It's flat yet fits a lot of stuff! I take it everywhere with me!

    Beautiful bag!

    A buttery soft leather bag that’s the perfect size for everyday or travel with plenty of organization features. Love the magnetic flap and the magnetic closure on the cell phone pocket. The chevron pattern is really eye catching.

    great small purse crossbody option

    I like this purse for occasions when I don’t need to carry more than credit cards , lipstick and other small items. The crossbody is great for security (and because the strap doesn’t fall off one’s shoulder or get in the way if your parter puts their hand around you when walking). The leather is soft and it looks well made. I also love the little hidden pocket, which makes it easy if you just want to grab your keys or lipstick without opening the whole bag. If I put anything as bulky as a camera (which I do use occasionally instead of a phone camera) it does bulge a bit too much, but if you only have small items to carry, this is a good size that is practical and stylish.
