    About Our Founders

    Founder and CEO Paul Schreiber started Latico Leathers fresh out of college in 1984. He began selling leather goods out of his trunk in NYC, and soon enough, specialty boutiques in Greenwich Village couldn't keep his merchandise in stock. Bands like the Grateful Dead eventually became fans of his genuine leather bags, and Latico grew into its identity as a leather goods company with a rock and roll twist.

    Paul met his wife Lainie — an uptown girl with a New York fashion background — and the two launched a celebrated women’s line. The unique artisan linings, unexpected leather treatments, and extensive interior organization created during that time would come to define Latico’s signature style.

    Today, our customers refer to us as their “one-stop shop” for quality leather goods. In fact, over 80% of our business comes from repeat customers. We can’t thank you enough for your ongoing support!

      Beautiful bag but…

      This bag is beautiful! Perfect for every day or travel. The leather is so soft and it has the great inside pockets and credit card slots for organization as well as the outside hidden pocket, generously sized. However, I was disappointed that it came with some of the rivets missing. As much as I loved it I am returning it for a refund. I love Latico bags and have several already. I’ll be purchasing more soon but sorry to say I will pass on Gabriel.

      I love this bag!

      I was looking for a medium size bag and this one is perfect! The leather is soft, it’s super stylish- kind of rock and roll but totally chic. Still fits my daily needs without carrying around too much unnecessary things. My new favorite. Thank you Latico!

      Sexy bag!

      This bag has it all - classic, a little edgy, quality, unique, and yes, sexy. It's smaller (narrower) than I thought so it won't be able to be an every day bag, but I take that as my own fault for not reading the dimensions. And it's too sweet a bag for me to return or exchange. The charcoal is a really cool color, too.
