About Our Founders

Founder and CEO Paul Schreiber started Latico Leathers fresh out of college in 1984. He began selling leather goods out of his trunk in NYC, and soon enough, specialty boutiques in Greenwich Village couldn't keep his merchandise in stock. Bands like the Grateful Dead eventually became fans of his genuine leather bags, and Latico grew into its identity as a leather goods company with a rock and roll twist.

Paul met his wife Lainie — an uptown girl with a New York fashion background — and the two launched a celebrated women’s line. The unique artisan linings, unexpected leather treatments, and extensive interior organization created during that time would come to define Latico’s signature style.

Today, our customers refer to us as their “one-stop shop” for quality leather goods. In fact, over 80% of our business comes from repeat customers. We can’t thank you enough for your ongoing support!

    My everyday bag

    I love this bag. I already bought a second one. It is lightweight and roomy for its size. There are plenty of pockets to hold necessities to get through the day. I just wish there were more straps available for more variety.

    Like a LOT but needs one more thing...

    Just got my camel Aquarious and like every Latico bag I've bought (I have 4 now) the quality is unsurpassed. I love the orange and brown and camel fabric strap which is cute and classy. It holds my phone (Pixel 7 pro) comfortably, which is the first thing I check on the smaller bags I buy. It has room for all other essentials plus a little more. The only thing I'd add would be a couple of magnetic closures on the outside flap. I will not be using that pocket for much because things can fall out easily. Other than that, it's a cute bag I'm looking forward to using for the summer.

    Sturdy strap

    I love how this bag is made of genuine leather. It appears sturdy, but only time will tell. The only thing I would change is to make it slightly bigger, but I can already store more than essentials in there. I especially appreciate the sturdy aesthetically pleasing strap.
