About Our Founders

Founder and CEO Paul Schreiber started Latico Leathers fresh out of college in 1984. He began selling leather goods out of his trunk in NYC, and soon enough, specialty boutiques in Greenwich Village couldn't keep his merchandise in stock. Bands like the Grateful Dead eventually became fans of his genuine leather bags, and Latico grew into its identity as a leather goods company with a rock and roll twist.

Paul met his wife Lainie — an uptown girl with a New York fashion background — and the two launched a celebrated women’s line. The unique artisan linings, unexpected leather treatments, and extensive interior organization created during that time would come to define Latico’s signature style.

Today, our customers refer to us as their “one-stop shop” for quality leather goods. In fact, over 80% of our business comes from repeat customers. We can’t thank you enough for your ongoing support!

    This bag is more gorgeous in person. The smell of the buttery soft leather, ❤️. I love it so much I bought the smaller version for my sis!

    LOVE IT but…..

    The moment I opened the package I loved this bag….the deep burgundy color, the size and the criss-cross texture. However I have been using it most days for the past three weeks and have found the cross-cross little leather pieces tend to get caught on various environmental items such as a fork tine and wire on a gate. In some cases I had to carefully push the criss cross design back into place. I have been carrying it recently with the design against my body but this defeats the ability to see the design.

    I like the bag,Starstruck. The description

    says it has the secret cell pocket, but this one did not have it. Is this a flaw? Or are you not putting the secret pocket in the Starstruck tote any longer?
