About Our Founders

Founder and CEO Paul Schreiber started Latico Leathers fresh out of college in 1984. He began selling leather goods out of his trunk in NYC, and soon enough, specialty boutiques in Greenwich Village couldn't keep his merchandise in stock. Bands like the Grateful Dead eventually became fans of his genuine leather bags, and Latico grew into its identity as a leather goods company with a rock and roll twist.

Paul met his wife Lainie — an uptown girl with a New York fashion background — and the two launched a celebrated women’s line. The unique artisan linings, unexpected leather treatments, and extensive interior organization created during that time would come to define Latico’s signature style.

Today, our customers refer to us as their “one-stop shop” for quality leather goods. In fact, over 80% of our business comes from repeat customers. We can’t thank you enough for your ongoing support!

    Lovely bag

    I love this bag, however, I’m regretting not buying the larger size. I think I’ll try to downsize my wallet and get a little bit more space for my extras. Beautiful color. I didn’t find it as soft as other reviews have said, and it definitely wears pretty quickly, but adds to the character of this bag!

    Love my Nash

    I love my Nash bag and I especially love the slant pocket on the outside for my phone. I originally had ordered the Bianca bag but it was a little too slouchy for what I was looking for so I returned the Bianca and ordered the Nash and I love the shape it keeps when sitting alone. Super happy with it!! I also love the Cognac color. Latico Leathers’ customer service has been great as well!

    The perfect bag!

    The Nash is the perfect size when you need more than a small runaround bag. Room for sunglasses, reader, full size wallet, keys, lip gloss… with a long crossbody or shoulder strap and a comfy handle. Great outside and hidden pockets! And orange for summer. Love it!!

    My new favorite bag!

    This is my second bag from Latico Leathers and I’m sure I’ll be getting one more!

    Each of them are buttery soft, have so much room, lots of good pockets and let’s not forget the secret one in the front!

    The strap seems to be a better design than my other one, it’s a lot sturdier.
