About Our Founders

Founder and CEO Paul Schreiber started Latico Leathers fresh out of college in 1984. He began selling leather goods out of his trunk in NYC, and soon enough, specialty boutiques in Greenwich Village couldn't keep his merchandise in stock. Bands like the Grateful Dead eventually became fans of his genuine leather bags, and Latico grew into its identity as a leather goods company with a rock and roll twist.

Paul met his wife Lainie — an uptown girl with a New York fashion background — and the two launched a celebrated women’s line. The unique artisan linings, unexpected leather treatments, and extensive interior organization created during that time would come to define Latico’s signature style.

Today, our customers refer to us as their “one-stop shop” for quality leather goods. In fact, over 80% of our business comes from repeat customers. We can’t thank you enough for your ongoing support!

    This bag is stunning. I am absolutely obsessed with the detailed pattern & the color is amazing. It’s perfect for literally all of the seasons. It fits my wallet, phone, keys, chapstick & anything I need on the daily.

    Gorgeous Color

    This is the perfect crossbody bag! I love that all of the important items I need to carry easily fit in the bag ~ wallet, sunglasses, small pouch, phone. Having a detachable and adjustable strap is ideal too because it gives several options of how to carry the bag. The macrame detail is gorgeous and the citron color is so perfect for summer!

    Best bag lovin the texture

    The texture detail on this bag is so cute it is very comfortable to carry, and makes for a great day to night bag because of how small it is. My dog even loves it :)

    Beautiful but returned

    I was really excited when this came in the mail especially because it had an outside pocket for phone which I couldn't tell from the description or photos. It's the perfect size overall because I really like small cross bodies that I can still put sunglasses in and a phone. However when I put my phone in the outside pocket it really made the whole thing sag and fall. I guess I have a big phone lol. Also I don't think I like that the straps are connected one on front and one on back rather than at the sides because it makes the whole thing hang kind of strange. I would have also liked the handle to be a little bigger to slip your hand through. In the end I had to return it because I was afraid I just wasn't going to use it and would waste my money ☹️
