    About Our Founders

    Founder and CEO Paul Schreiber started Latico Leathers fresh out of college in 1984. He began selling leather goods out of his trunk in NYC, and soon enough, specialty boutiques in Greenwich Village couldn't keep his merchandise in stock. Bands like the Grateful Dead eventually became fans of his genuine leather bags, and Latico grew into its identity as a leather goods company with a rock and roll twist.

    Paul met his wife Lainie — an uptown girl with a New York fashion background — and the two launched a celebrated women’s line. The unique artisan linings, unexpected leather treatments, and extensive interior organization created during that time would come to define Latico’s signature style.

    Today, our customers refer to us as their “one-stop shop” for quality leather goods. In fact, over 80% of our business comes from repeat customers. We can’t thank you enough for your ongoing support!

      Best Bag Ever!

      Bianca has become my go to bag! Love the leather, and I was nervous about the oxblood colour but it's really beautiful and I think it will age well. My only complaint is the thin strap but that's easily solved with a different crossbody like the Bowie. This bag is so roomy and I love the magnetic hidden cell phone pocket!

      Carries everything and more!

      I'll be honest. I wasn't sure if I liked the design at first, but now that I have it I LOVE it and I can see what all the hype is about! I love the hidden cell phone pocket and it carries all the essentials and more. I got the oxblood and I love the color, it's so rich. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Bowie strap looks great with it, too!

      Love my Bianca!

      My first (but not my last) Latico bag. I bought it in Moss, a great neutral color. The leather is really soft, but the bag still stands up without flopping over. Big enough for everything I carry.

      The Bianca is a great medium size bag. Like the external flap pocket and hidden, magnetic cell phone slip pocket. Really love all my Latico bags and wallet. Still looking for a slouchy bag in moss. So far I have different bags in cognac, denim, oxblood and camel...love them all!!

      Perfect travel or everyday tote

      iPhone fits nicely in the front pocket and I can slip my kindle inside when I want … I usually tuck the should straps inside for day to day use at home. This is my second Latico bag & I am already plotting my next purchase.
