About Our Founders

Founder and CEO Paul Schreiber started Latico Leathers fresh out of college in 1984. He began selling leather goods out of his trunk in NYC, and soon enough, specialty boutiques in Greenwich Village couldn't keep his merchandise in stock. Bands like the Grateful Dead eventually became fans of his genuine leather bags, and Latico grew into its identity as a leather goods company with a rock and roll twist.

Paul met his wife Lainie — an uptown girl with a New York fashion background — and the two launched a celebrated women’s line. The unique artisan linings, unexpected leather treatments, and extensive interior organization created during that time would come to define Latico’s signature style.

Today, our customers refer to us as their “one-stop shop” for quality leather goods. In fact, over 80% of our business comes from repeat customers. We can’t thank you enough for your ongoing support!

    Stunning!

    I love, love this bag! The camel color is beautiful. It is big enough to carry all my essentials AND my kindle paperwhite which is everything I need in a bag! I carry it with and without the crossbody strap depending on what I’m wearing.

    Very cute Stevie received in a tomato red. I loved the handles that are detachable. I would loved for them to be much much longer, and I am only 5 foot tall. I prefer 52 inch straps because I like it to hang so low that I don't know I am wearing a bag while shopping. Also, I prefer a bag that sits on its own. This missed the mark by very few inches. It is a very cute bag though. I would buy it again in smooth black or grass. I would recommend.

    Perfect bag

    This crossbody is nice because it can fit all of my essentials inside of it. It appears natural as it is not overly huge. The magnetic lock on the pocket makes it easy for me to remove my phone without any trouble. This is a good bag to take walks with.

    Small but good capacity

    This bag is great quality. I will definitely be purchasing other colors. It is roomy on the inside and I like the fact that it also has a back zipper where you can put your keys or something small in them.
