About Our Founders

Founder and CEO Paul Schreiber started Latico Leathers fresh out of college in 1984. He began selling leather goods out of his trunk in NYC, and soon enough, specialty boutiques in Greenwich Village couldn't keep his merchandise in stock. Bands like the Grateful Dead eventually became fans of his genuine leather bags, and Latico grew into its identity as a leather goods company with a rock and roll twist.

Paul met his wife Lainie — an uptown girl with a New York fashion background — and the two launched a celebrated women’s line. The unique artisan linings, unexpected leather treatments, and extensive interior organization created during that time would come to define Latico’s signature style.

Today, our customers refer to us as their “one-stop shop” for quality leather goods. In fact, over 80% of our business comes from repeat customers. We can’t thank you enough for your ongoing support!

Shallow pockets

Very nice looking bag, however the pockets, in which I wanted to carry ordinary sized file folders, are not deep enough to zip the items into, so they have to be placed inside the bag. Not so handy for airplane travel.

Great bag!

I was wowed when I unwrapped this bag! It is beautiful and functional. Just the right size that its comfortable to carry yet it holds alot. And of course the pockets! I ordered the natural color, which is gorgeous.

Excellent Bag

This was a gift for someone with high-end taste. I was concerned that it may not meet their standards, but it excelled. Clean lines. Durable leather. Extra pockets. But it's the Look that sells it.

Great Value, Great Quality

What a great price for this luxury travel bag! I have been looking for a bag similar to this one for my brother for months. I was looking at duffles that were upward of $500 because I wanted something sturdy with genuine leather. This is exactly that but for a way better price!
