About Our Founders

Founder and CEO Paul Schreiber started Latico Leathers fresh out of college in 1984. He began selling leather goods out of his trunk in NYC, and soon enough, specialty boutiques in Greenwich Village couldn't keep his merchandise in stock. Bands like the Grateful Dead eventually became fans of his genuine leather bags, and Latico grew into its identity as a leather goods company with a rock and roll twist.

Paul met his wife Lainie — an uptown girl with a New York fashion background — and the two launched a celebrated women’s line. The unique artisan linings, unexpected leather treatments, and extensive interior organization created during that time would come to define Latico’s signature style.

Today, our customers refer to us as their “one-stop shop” for quality leather goods. In fact, over 80% of our business comes from repeat customers. We can’t thank you enough for your ongoing support!

Nice size tote!

I love this tote as it is a good medium size - not too big or small. Fit all my necessities and still have room to toss in additional when needed. I’m not crazy about multiple straps so this tote is great - one set of straps you can hold by your side but long enough to go over the shoulder. Everything I purchase from Latico has been beautiful and so well made. The buttery softness of the leather can’t be beat. Their shipping is super quick.

Lovin my Leon!

I love latico letters so much this is my fourth latico bag! And this one by far is my absolute favorite! The thought put into the positioning and number of exterior pockets is exactly what I was looking for! The leather is phenomenal and I absolutely love it it's my new favorite and it will be my favorite for a very long time!

The quality of this item is absolutely superb! It is very soft to the touch, very comfortable, light, many handy pockets for everything you can think of, and has a lot of class. Loving this bag!

This bag is smaller than the ones I usually carry. What a refreshing change. It still holds everything I need. Leather is like butter and smells great. I couldn’t wait to share it with my friends!

Quality bag at a reasonable price

This is a really nice bag. I was looking for one large enough to hold all my stuff when I travelled by plane. It is very classy too and an essential if you're traveling
