About Our Founders

Founder and CEO Paul Schreiber started Latico Leathers fresh out of college in 1984. He began selling leather goods out of his trunk in NYC, and soon enough, specialty boutiques in Greenwich Village couldn't keep his merchandise in stock. Bands like the Grateful Dead eventually became fans of his genuine leather bags, and Latico grew into its identity as a leather goods company with a rock and roll twist.

Paul met his wife Lainie — an uptown girl with a New York fashion background — and the two launched a celebrated women’s line. The unique artisan linings, unexpected leather treatments, and extensive interior organization created during that time would come to define Latico’s signature style.

Today, our customers refer to us as their “one-stop shop” for quality leather goods. In fact, over 80% of our business comes from repeat customers. We can’t thank you enough for your ongoing support!

Love all my Latico purchases

This Fanny pack holds just the right amount of stuff. I recently got a puppy and never seem to have enough hands. It holds my phone, keys, doggie poop bags, credit cards, ( I could put my Latico wallet in if I wanted to as well) Sometimes I turn it around and use the belt as an accessory to pull my shirt over. It looks really nice and a bit funky with the bag to the side or back rather than in the front. I love the leather. It’s so soft and I always always get compliments on my Latico bags. Oh yes and sometimes I sling it over my shoulder. But the best part is having free hands with the puppy, my grandkids, going for a walk or even going out at night and rock n Rollin! Yea for 66 I still love to dance.

cute and functional

I got this as an alternative to a cross body bag for an upcoming trip. It's cute and the strap is adjustable to wear around my waist or across my body. It's big enough to fit the large iPhone, a small wallet and other small items without being too bulky. The zipped part of the bag is just one compartment but there is a small compartment on the backside of the bag with a magnetic closure. I got the gold leather, which is pretty metalic and shiny but not gawdy and the leather seems nice. The online photos show it with a beige nylon strap but the one I received has a black nylon strap instead.

Perfect Fanny Pack

I use this bag as a bum bag and this fits my needs perfectly. It's roomy enough to fit my chunky wallet, keys, sanitizer bottle, cellphone and still have room for something more.
